This year’s Sixth Form Cabaret was a huge success. The event was coordinated by our fabulous Drama Assistant Rebecca Jones along with sixth form students Sirisha, Jessie, George, Audrey and Katie.
Performers and audience members embraced the Masquerade dress code, which made for a truly glamorous evening. The senior school hall was almost unrecognisable, decorated in rich purple and gold, with gemstones scattered on the tables and candles creating a wonderfully intimate atmosphere. The Cabaret Committee even provided a selection of masquerade masks for audience members to wear. Performing to a packed house, the line-up of Year 11, 12 and 13 students included rock bands, solo singers, classical guitarists and a commercial dance troupe, and the wide variety and high standard of talent on display was astounding. The audience were in safe hands with compères Arshiya and Will, who stylishly and seamlessly guided us through the evening’s acts.
The event raised just under £600 for Mind, a fantastic charity committed to making mental health an everyday priority and offering help to those in need of support.
