On Friday 20 May, Sutherland House hosted their annual Charity Day.
Over the past few weeks, pupils from Sutherland House have been busy creating activities, posters and games for the rest of the school to enjoy. The pupils took part in these activities in order to raise money for their chosen charity, a local paediatric day unit at Addenbrookes Hospital.
Great fun was had guessing the name of the bear, estimating the length of various bandages and pinning the stethoscope on the Doctor. The pupils also enjoyed all the physical activities in Rainey Hall, the football and netball challenges were a huge hit as were the obstacle course and bean bag games.
Many pupils chose to enjoy the tranquillity found in the Create Room, where they immersed themselves in many mindfulness activities. Despite the rain, lots of children also engaged in the letter hunt around the playground in order to solve the anagram.
An amazing £550 has been raised. Well done Sutherland House!
