A group of our Sixth Form boarding students visited Ely Cathedral on the morning of the 6 May, accompanied by one of our graduate assistants, to watch the live streaming of the Coronation.
The Ely Cathedral was open to the public, and they joined hundreds of others to watch the live-streaming of the Coronation ceremony on a big screen. The cathedral was decorated to mark the occasion with floral displays depicting the official Coronation emblem.
The students also got to tour the cathedral to see the intricate stone carvings and vaulted roof of the Lady Chapel, decorated with Union Jack flags to mark the occasion, and the Octagon Tower and Lantern with its beautiful stained glass windows.
