On Friday 21 January, the pupils from Malim House at Dame Bradbury’s hosted their charity day raising money for the Riding for the Disabled Association (RDA). .
The pupils in Malim House took a vote to decide which charity they wished to support and they decided that their charity day would support the RDA. The RDA is a charity whose horses benefit the lives of over 25,000 disabled children and adults. RDA organise life-changing fun activities such as riding and carriage driving, they provide therapy, fitness, skills development and opportunities for achievement.
The charity day was organised by the Malim House captains and everyone turned up in costume to represent their favourite animal. The pupils took part in various activities from an equestrian course, pin the tail on the donkey, animal-themed yoga and guess the name of the horse to name just a few. The day was an absolute success, much fun was had by all and over £400 was raised for the RDA.
