On the 11 June Year 1 and Year 2 City and Madingley Pre Prep pupils went together to the Cambridge Museum of Technology in central Cambridge. Both classes answered a lot of questions about the museum. They were in small groups and answered questions from slides on the iPad. They moved around reading labels, looking at different engines, dressing up and looking for clues to find the right answer and taking photos. The children looked at steam engines and how they worked, they discussed the different parts of the engine and the size of them. They also went outside to observe how tall the chimney was and when it was built. Team work was needed as well as confidence to move around the museum to search for clues.
